We’re really pleased to introduce Hannah Fawcett as one of the voices on our Scale-up panel at Bloom. This panel is brought to you in collaboration with Brabners, where Hannah serves as Legal Director & Chartered Trade Mark Attorney.

A Journey of Legal Expertise

Since joining Brabners back in November 2017, Hannah has become an integral part of the Commercial and Intellectual Property Team. Her journey has involved expanding her expertise as a dual-qualified solicitor and trade mark attorney. Hannah’s specialisation covers the full spectrum of contentious and non-contentious IP matters, including the nuts and bolts of trade marks, designs, copyright, and patents. Her role is pivotal in providing brand protection services. From filing and prosecuting trade mark and design applications to handling oppositions and cancellation actions.

Hannah is also adept at guiding clients through the maze of their IP rights. This includes everything from licensing and franchising arrangements to negotiating endorsement and influencer agreements, not to mention collaboration agreements and building supplier/distributor relationships. For businesses looking to scale up, Hannah’s guidance in corporate support is invaluable—whether that’s assisting with due diligence, handling assignment documents, or smoothing out the kinks following corporate restructures.

A Passion for Fashion and Anti-Counterfeiting

What truly sets Hannah apart is her leadership in the Retail Sector, particularly at the helm of the Beauty and Fashion sub-group. Her keen interest in fashion retail and staunch stance against counterfeiting underscore her comprehensive understanding of the unique challenges and opportunities within this vibrant industry.

Furthermore, Hannah’s commitment to the broader IP community is evident through her active membership in the Unreal Campaign Committee of the International Trademark Association, as well as the Chartered Institute of Trade Mark Attorneys. These roles highlight her dedication to advancing the field and mentoring the next generation of IP professionals.

Hannah’s insights at Bloom are sure to be a game-changer for businesses poised for growth. Her blend of legal acumen and sector-specific expertise will shed light on the pivotal role of IP in scaling up. We can’t wait to hear her thoughts and learn from her vast experience!
