MMA welcomes new Architectural Assistant Apprentice Alexander Wilkinson, who is starting an Architectural Assistant Apprenticeship and will study for a BA (Hons) in Architecture while working at our tenant, MMA.

The practice is run by his mum, Maggie Mullan, so this one is a family story as well as a career move and an excellent opportunity.

Alexander is heading to London South Bank University, which is one of only two places in the country offering this degree apprenticeship.

He joins at a busy time, as MMA’s core team works nationally and internationally from their Baltic Triangle base, advising hotel groups, dioceses, charities and other organisations on some of the biggest legislative changes the construction industry has seen in decades. That’s the setting Alexander will learn in.

Maggie has always backed apprenticeships and invested in R&D, and she aims to support his training while making sure he understands the wider context.

Unit3 Design Studio welcome new Architectural Graduate Caydyn Ferguson-Emms to its expanding team.

Caydyn, who joins the RIBA Chartered Practice as a Part 1 Architectural Assistant, will spend at least 12 months gaining valuable industry experience before returning to university to complete his Master’s degree in Architecture.

Born and raised in Liverpool, Caydyn brings a fresh perspective and strong technical skills to the practice, particularly in Building Information Modelling (BIM) and 3D architectural visualisation.

He’s already putting those skills to good use, working on site-wide marketing and visualisation materials for the upcoming Liverpool Christmas Markets, one of the city’s major festive attractions.

Martin Shutt, Director at Unit3 Design Studio, commented:

“We’re delighted to welcome Caydyn to the team. Supporting emerging architectural talent is something we’re passionate about, and it’s great to have another Liverpool graduate joining us. He’s already making a valuable contribution to some exciting projects, and we’re looking forward to helping him develop his skills and experience over the coming year.”

We love seeing new talent joining our Baltic Creative businesses!
