Meet Mark Shayler
We’re chuffed to announce our first keynote speaker for Bloom 2025, Mark Shayler blends creative thinking, sustainability, cultural heritage and innovation, weaving a sharp narrative on creativity and collaboration. He looks at how customers have changed, how belief systems shape our purchasing behaviour and how we’re never going to change the world if we’re sitting in a room on our own. The future, he says, is formed right here.
Mark Shayler is an author, presenter and consultant, whose work centres around ‘doing better things’. His innovation consultancy, Ape, helps build sustainable businesses because “business,” he says, “has created most of the world’s problems – and is the only thing that can solve them.”
Mark has founded stacks of businesses, from the Do Lectures, to a hot sauce brand; he’s a co-creator of Reasons to be Cheerful, and has developed a method for building start-ups inside big businesses. He is fascinated by eco-design, customer insights, co-creation and amplifying diverse voices. Oh, and he’s a Qi Gong teacher, too.
