As the festive season approaches, Agent is once again lighting up the holidays with their heartwarming Christmas campaign, All You Read Is Love. Launched in 2020, this initiative has brought the gift of reading to hundreds of children across the North West. It’s now a cherished tradition for the full-service marketing agency.

A Commitment to Community

Agent, based at Baltic Creative Campus in Liverpool and with a studio in Manchester, has donated over £50,000 worth of children’s books over the past four years. These books include works by renowned authors, emerging voices, and stories from underrepresented communities such as BAME and LGBTQ+ authors.

This year, All You Read Is Love aims to be its biggest campaign yet. The goal is to help even more children experience the joy of reading during the holidays.

The Need for Action

The campaign’s significance is underscored by troubling findings from the National Literacy Trust (NLT), which revealed that only one in five children read in their free time, and just one in three enjoy reading for pleasure. These statistics are the lowest ever recorded by the NLT.

Paul Corcoran, Agent’s CEO and founder, emphasised the urgency of addressing this issue:

“After the concerning research published by the National Literacy Trust, All You Read Is Love is more important than ever. There is a real need to put the magic of books into the hands of young people. For 2024, we want to share the joy of reading with communities that need it most and make it a Christmas to remember for the children in our regions.”

Donations of new children’s books can be made at Agent’s Liverpool office at Baltic Creative Campus, 49 Jamaica Street, Liverpool L1 0AH, or their Manchester studio. The deadline for donations is Monday, 9th December 2024.
