This month we are celebrating a huge milestone for one of our longest standing tenants Agent who have turned 20 this year.
Agent are a B Corp award winning full service marketing agency “committed to powerfully good work which benefits people, the places we call home and work – and of course, our planet”.
Having established a base at Baltic Creative in Liverpool, Agent expanded their reach, setting up a further office in Manchester, and have spread their motto of “good work” through their annual ‘Good Growth Summit’.
We interviewed CEO and Founder of Agent, Paul Corcoran, to find out more about Agent’s 20 year legacy and what they get out
20 Years of Agent
Paul said: “There’s been so many highlights and things to remember over the past two decades.”
“Certainly, becoming a B Corp, and that’s been a major moment for us to look back and remember. So many award wins, so many client wins. But I must say, one of the most important pieces of work that we ever did was for the Tyred campaign, where we worked alongside Frances Molloy in order to change the law in memory of her son Michael.”
Impact of Agent Academy
Agent also set up Agent Academy back in 2014 creating a game changing opportunity for young people to launch their creative and digital careers through working on live projects, gaining real industry experience. Paul told us:
“We believe, like so many, that every single person, regardless of their postcode, their ethnicity, their age, their gender, or anything else for that matter, has an opportunity or should have the opportunity to come into our industry. So we launched Agent Academy to do just that-to connect our people with new talent and opportunities, so that they can go in and have the careers they deserve within creative, digital, and tech. And so far, we’ve helped hundreds, if not 1000s, get into this industry and start their career.”
Growing a Business in Baltic Creative
Asked about why they chose Baltic Creative as a base, Paul reflected:
“We’ve been based in Baltic Creative, goodness for 14 years now, nearly 15 years, and this was always a place of potential for us..When we moved into this studio it was a blank canvas, but I could see what potential there was here for us to be able to create lots of different places and spaces for us to work in, but also to host and to be a place where we can bring people together to connect and celebrate, and we’ve done a lot of that over the last 14 years here in this space.”
It is fantastic to see how Agent has grown and developed over their 20 years, but particularly their last 15 as one of the pillars of our Baltic Triangle Community.
