Over the past couple of years, Baltic Creative CIC has been quietly building momentum.

We’ve strengthened the business, welcomed new creative businesses into our spaces, expanded our events and support programmes, and continued championing Liverpool City Region’s creative and digital sector. Now, we’re excited to share the final piece of that journey by welcoming three new members of the team.

George Jo & Ros

Joining Baltic Creative are George Barclay as Head of Property, Jo Austin Greer as Head of Communications and Partnerships, and Ros Whiteley-Jones as Office Administrator.

Since 2009, Baltic Creative CIC has existed to create affordable, long-term workspace where creative and digital businesses can thrive without being priced out of the neighbourhood they helped shape. As an asset-locked Community Interest Company, every surplus we generate is reinvested back into our buildings, our community and the creative sector.

As we’ve grown, so has our role. Alongside providing workspace, we’ve expanded our business support, partnerships and sector advocacy through initiatives including Bloom Business Festival, Bloom Talks and collaborations with organisations across education, business and the creative industries.

These new appointments give us even greater capacity to build on that work.

George brings more than a decade of commercial property experience and will lead the development of our growing workspace portfolio, ensuring our buildings continue to meet the needs of creative businesses while supporting future opportunities for growth.

Jo joins with more than 20 years’ experience across marketing, enterprise and the arts, and will lead our communications, partnerships and advocacy work, helping tell the story of Liverpool City Region’s creative industries while creating new opportunities to collaborate.

Ros brings a wealth of operational experience and will help keep everything running smoothly behind the scenes, ensuring tenants, partners and visitors continue to receive the warm welcome that’s at the heart of Baltic Creative.

Lynn Haime, CEO of Baltic Creative CIC, said:

“Our team passionately care about creating an amazing place for the creative businesses who call Baltic Creative home. The last few years have been about building a strong, resilient organisation that can sustain that community and advocate strongly on their behalf. We’ve strengthened our financial position, invested in our spaces, expanded our business support offer and developed a clear vision for where Baltic Creative goes next.

“These appointments are the final piece of that puzzle. George, Jo and Ros each bring a wealth of experience, but just as importantly they share our belief that great places are built around people and community.

“Together, they’ll help us continue supporting the creative businesses already based here while giving us the capacity to develop new partnerships, new opportunities and, ultimately, create space for even more creative businesses to thrive across the Liverpool City Region.”

With our buildings close to full occupancy and new opportunities on the horizon, we’re looking forward to what comes next. We’re excited to keep growing our impact, strengthening partnerships and creating even more opportunities for creative businesses and communities to flourish together.
