The exhibition, which is Anthony’s first show in Liverpool brings together a collection of his work celebrating positivity, colour and bold graphic art, including his iconic 2004 ‘Work Hard & Be Nice To People’ letterpress print (a powerful manifesto to live by) as well as a NEW COLLECTION of ‘Joy! Pure Joy!’ affordable limited edition screen prints and t-shirts designed by Anthony exclusively for the show. Dorothy also planned a special surprise for the Baltic Triangle to accompany the exhibition, revealed on 23rd July – a brand new mural bringing ‘Pure Joy!’ to the area.

Anthony Burrill is a graphic artist known for distilling ideas into bold, simple forms. Combining analogue craft with optimistic messaging, his work communicates with clarity and impact. Through collaborations spanning music, architecture, education, and culture, he continues to expand the possibilities of letterpress printing.

Rooted in a belief in the power of words, humour, and direct communication, Burrill’s distinctive style reflects a commitment to simplicity, curiosity, and creativity without boundaries.

His work is held in the permanent collections of the V&A, The Design Museum, and the Cooper Hewitt, and has been exhibited internationally at institutions including the Royal Academy, Walker Art Center, Triennale Milano, and Stedelijk Museum Breda.

Born in Lancashire, Burrill studied Graphic Design at Leeds Polytechnic and completed an MA at the Royal College of Art. He now lives and works in Rye, East Sussex.

The NEW collection of limited edition prints will first go on sale at the Private View at 5pm on 23rd July (ALL WELCOME) before being put on general release online at www.wearedorothy.com.
