We’re thrilled to announce that Charlie Gladstone will be our keynote speaker at Bloom on Wednesday 8th May, bringing his insights into the creative industries, inspiration, and a dash of enthusiasm for community-building!

Charlie Gladstone is an author, public speaker, philanthropist, and enthusiast for living a good life. With a background in the music industry, he now focuses on revitalising traditional businesses and spaces, infusing them with modernity and purpose. At the core of this are The Hawarden Estate and the Good Life Society. These family-run organisations reflect Charlie’s vision for curating spaces that provide enlightening experiences, create job opportunities, support communities, and pave the way for a better future.

The Hawarden Estate: Where History Meets Innovation

On the edge of North Wales, the Hawarden Estate is steeped in history and surrounded by a picturesque rural landscape. This 18th-century castle, which Charlie inherited, is anything but stuck in the past. It has evolved into a hub of activity, with an award-winning farm shop, restaurant, holiday homes, and campsite.

Its hidden treasure is the Walled Garden School. Here, Charlie created a place for inspiration and education in the areas of craft, food, and wellness. Visitors can take part in one-day masterclasses, feasts, and workshops, immersing themselves in the art of living well!

The Good Life Society: Celebrating the Art of Living

In 2013, Charlie and his wife Caroline launched the Good Life Society to celebrate living a good life. What started as a mid-sized festival has evolved into a series of smaller events in the heart of North Wales.

From unforgettable holidays at Gardener’s House and Beekeeper’s Hut to the annual Summer Camp, the Good Life Society offers a range of experiences to nourish the soul. The events bring a few hundred people together to learn new skills with real experts. Attendees can learn, make new friends, and enjoy excellent food, all in the beautiful Welsh countryside.
