Happy New Year to all! We hope you’ve all had a fantastic time.
This year we’re making a commitment to sustainability (more on that shortly) so to begin, we’re asking for your donations of electrical items, beauty products and cosmetics for our Post-Christmas Collection.
A great way to reduce waste is to donate unwanted and old items to charities who can reuse and recycle them. We’ve identified FOUR charities who work to help underprivileged adults and children across the UK. See below for details!
Electrical Items📱 💻
Bring your phones, tablets and computers for donation to The Dialtone Project and WeeeCharity. The items should be in full working order, though minor flaws/cosmetic wear-and-tear is fine! You should do a factory reset before handing them in. If you are donating a locked mobile phone, please tell us which network it is locked to!
These items will go towards helping disadvantaged people in the UK to access work, Universal Credit, online banking, shopping, housing, social contacts, education and entertainment.
Beauty Products and Toiletries 🧴💄
Bring your unwanted smellies for donation to The Beauty Bank and The Hygiene Bank. We particularly want body wash, skincare, haircare, moisturisers, make-up, perfume and gift sets (can be for men or women). The items should be NEW and UNUSED.
These items will be given to local organisations, services, charities and projects working to support children, families and individuals in need. This could be registered Food banks, domestic abuse charities, homeless shelters, NHS trusts, care leaver associations or schools.
We’ll be accepting donations throughout January so bring whatever you can to our office at 49 Jamaica Street.
If you would like to donate items yourself, find out how at the links below.
