Lisa Shoko

Lisa Shoko is an equality, diversity, inclusion leader and Non-Executive Director with experience in governance, organisational transformation and strategic leadership across the NHS, higher education and the voluntary sector.

Lisa is the Equality, Diversity and Inclusion and Anti-Racism Programme Lead at the University Hospitals of Liverpool Group, where she leads programmes that improve organisational culture, workforce equity and patient experience. She is also the founder and Managing Director of Venekai Consulting Services, supporting organisations across the UK to develop evidence-based approaches to anti-racism, inclusive leadership and organisational change.

As a Trustee of Baltic Creative CIC, Lisa brings expertise in governance, strategy and inclusive leadership, helping to ensure creative communities are supported to thrive through equitable opportunities and sustainable growth. She also serves as a Non-Executive Director at Blackburne House, contributing to strategic oversight and organisational development.

With a legal background, LLM by Research in Socio-Legal Studies and an LLB in International Legal Studies, Lisa combines legal expertise with practical leadership experience. She is recognised for building partnerships across sectors and translating complex equality challenges into practical, measurable change.
