Jo Austin Greer
Head of Communications and Partnerships
Jo leads Baltic Creative’s communications, marketing and partnerships, helping tell the story of the businesses within our community while building relationships that support the growth of the creative and digital sector.
She brings more than 20 years’ experience across marketing, enterprise and the arts, having worked with charities, social enterprises and creative organisations across the Liverpool City Region. Before joining Baltic Creative, Jo ran her own marketing consultancy and was Marketing Lead at Arts Council England National Portfolio Organisation DaDa. Prior to that, she spent 13 years at The Women’s Organisation, leading marketing, engagement and community partnerships to help more women access enterprise support and opportunities, following her earlier role supporting creative industries start-ups at Creativebias.
What Jo enjoys most is connecting people, spotting opportunities for collaboration and helping build the kind of creative hub where businesses don’t just rent space – they feel part of a community. She’s passionate about making events and communications feel inclusive, authentic and accessible, and believes the best partnerships are built on good relationships.
Outside Baltic Creative
Outside work, you’ll often find Jo behind a piano, writing songs or performing spoken word at open mic nights across Liverpool. She loves theatre, live music and comedy, and studied Creative and Performing Arts at Liverpool Hope University where she got to hear a lecture by her favourite playwright, Willy Russell.
Much of her spare time is also spent supporting her two children with whatever adventure they’re taking on next – from creative projects and exploring new interests to earning their latest Blue Peter badge.
