Steve Bayley is an artist based at Hub Studios in Northern Lights, where he immerses himself in creating art across a variety of mediums. His passion comes from the freedom to explore different techniques and materials, allowing him to continually evolve and express his vision in unique ways. From painting and sketching to mixed media, Steve thrives on the endless possibilities that each medium offers.

Steve’s art is influenced by the works of J.M.W. Turner and Claude Monet, whose mastery of light and atmosphere has always fascinated him. Turner’s dramatic landscapes and seascapes, combined with Monet’s vibrant impressions of nature, inspire Steve to capture the beauty of the world around us. Additionally, the expressive and raw depictions of urban life and landscapes by Joan Eardley have deeply impacted his approach to art, encouraging him to infuse his work with emotion and narrative.

You can experience Steve’s art firsthand on our Northern Lights Gallery Wall until Monday 24th of June. Why not visit Hub Studios whilst you’re there and grab a coffee in Ryde Cafe?
