General description of the job

To create and manage targeted social media channels for Film & TV companies, to maximise the promotional and monetary value of the content of Lasso’s clients. This varies from the newest Hollywood blockbusters to soap operas and from animation content to the latest series. Furthermore, the Channel Manager keeps track of trends and social media developments in addition to build long lasting relationships with clients and online platforms. The Channel Manager will also perform rights
administration duties. You will consult on a day-to-day basis with the team members from the Lasso department in The Hague, Hungary, UK and Canada and report to the Head of Operations Lasso (based in NL).

Responsibilities

As Channel Manager you will be responsible for the execution of all channel related activities, including; repurposing content, scheduling videos, optimising metadata and designing the channel aesthetics. The Channel Manager’s responsibilities include administering the rights of Lasso’s catalogue through the platforms’ content management systems.

General tasks (include, but are not limited to):

  • Organise, create and manage content and channels on YouTube, Facebook, Instagram and other platforms as they become available.
  • Create, repurpose and update content for the Lasso channels on YouTube, Facebook and Instagram.
  • Safeguard and oversee the design and look and feel of existing and new channels
  • Continuously analyse and evaluate the channel analytics to help develop and implement new strategies.
  • Administer Lasso’s titles using the content management systems of YouTube and Meta.

  • Has strong organisational skills with an eye for fixing priorities, attentiveness and accuracy in performance.
  • Knowledge of data analytics and reporting.
  • Accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Excellent IT skills, especially with design and photo editing software.
  • Has at least two years of experience with Channel Management and Digital Rights management.
  • Has strong organisation skills with and eye for fixing priorities, attentiveness and accuracy in performance.
  • Excellent marketing and communication skills across multiple levels of the organisation in English, written and oral.
  • Knowledge of other languages (like French and German) is an advantage.
  • Has a proactive approach and can think in an entrepreneurial way.
  • Is able to travel on an occasional basis.
  • Is YouTube certified (or will obtain YouTube certification if requested)
  • Is able to cope with a fast paced work environment and able to meet and work with tight deadlines.
  • Knowledge of the film and TV industry is considered to be an advantage.
